St. Patrick

Well, you learn something everyday.  Check out this tidbit of info:

St. Patrick, as the patron saint of engineers, is credited with fostering the development of arts and crafts and introducing the knowledge of the use of lime as mortar in Ireland. He is also responsible for the initial construction of clay churches in Ireland in the 5th century A.D. Another of St. Patrick's achievements was teaching the Irish to build arches of lime mortar instead of dry masonry. These beginnings of ceramic work developed into organized crafts, and that's how St. Patrick became the patron saint of ceramic engineers.

1st Hiccup

We encountered our only problem this morning in Mexico - our shuttle
(that was pre-paid) didn't show up! But we made it, and we're waiting
in line to check-in as I type.

Things are going great so far. Seen the Tulum and Coba ruins, swam in
an underground, fresh water ceynote, ate the best tacos I've ever had,
slept on the beach numerous times, and watched the sun rise. I'm not
looking forward to the cold Wisconsin weather in 2 days. Oh well -
that's why it is called vacation.
